About Me.

I have been an educator for most of my life. It all started in the pool when I was a teenager, teaching swimming lessons to kids, and I've never looked back.

I grew up in rural Ontario, Canada. After completing my undergraduate degree, I lived and worked in many countries around the world including the UK, Japan, Colombia, Egypt, Brazil, and Belgium. 

I have been both a classroom educator and teacher-librarian. I am actively involved in the world of school libraries and children’s literature in Canada.

I live in Ottawa with my husband and two daughters.
